Kenneth M. Dance, CPA joined Wells, Coleman & Company in August 2006. He has over 5 years experience in business and individual income tax planning and preparation, as well as consulting regarding the implementation of both PC and web-based accounting applications. Mr. Dance earned his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the State University of New York. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants.
Christopher DeBlanc joined Wells, Coleman & Company in January 2010. He is a graduate of the University of Richmond, where he received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting. He is a junior member of the Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants and is currently a CPA candidate.
Mary Sue DiLego, CPA joined Wells, Coleman & Company in July 2007, with more than 20 years of cumulative accounting and auditing experience. She has worked in public accounting for private industry where she served as controller and CFO for several companies. Her experience ranges from auditing and financial reporting to business planning, financial projections and income tax preparation. Ms. DiLego received her Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Virginia. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants.
Tonya Futrell, CPA joined Wells, Coleman & Company in August 2008. She has over 6 years of experience in accounting with a focus on audit and compliance work. Ms. Futrell earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Longwood University. She is a member of the Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants.
Cecelia Cortner joined Wells, Coleman & Company in September 2007 as a Client Services Specialist. She has more than 15 years of experience in accounting and technology consulting with small- to medium-sized businesses. She has experience in the implementation of accounting software, data transfer and staff training. Ms. Heinrich received her Associates degree in Accounting from Mesa College in San Diego, California.
Tammy L. Herlinger, CPA rejoined Wells, Coleman & Company, L.L.P., in January 2008. She has several years of experience in public accounting with an emphasis in corporate taxation and auditing of not-for-profit organizations and employee benefit plans. Ms. Herlinger earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Longwood University and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants.
Diana L. Jackson began working with Wells, Coleman & Company in April 2005 as a Client Services Specialist. She has more than 10 years of experience in small business operations and accounting issues with a speciality in payroll.
Nicholas A. Kinsler joined Wells, Coleman & Company, L.L.P. in June 2008. He is a graduate of Longwood University, where he received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting and Finance. He is a junior member of the Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants and is currently a CPA candidate.
Marylee G. McGregor, CPA joined Wells, Coleman & Company in October 2004 as a Senior Accountant concentrating in the areas of estate, gift, and trust and taxation and administration. She studied accounting at the College of William and Mary and began working in public accounting in 1986. She also received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Allegheny College and a Master of Arts from the College of William and Mary. Ms. McGregor is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants where she chaired the Public Service Committee and was a member of the State and Local Tax Committee.
Terry B. Newberry, CPA began working with Wells, Coleman & Company in January 2003. She has been involved in financial statement, internal control and employee benefit plan audits, as well as reviews and compilations. Additionally, she has experience with the preparation of income tax returns and financial statement preparation and analysis. Ms. Bloxom earned her Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Virginia Commonwealth University. She is a member of the Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Jean L. Oakey, CPA is Wells, Coleman & Company’s Director of Not-for-Profit Services. With over 24 years experience, she provides auditing, management advisory and tax compliance services for public charities and private foundations. She also focuses on the firm’s eldercare practice and tax compliance services for trusts. She received a Bachelor of Arts from Mount Holyoke College and a Post-baccalaureate Certificate in Accounting from Virginia Commonwealth University.
Johnathan G. Orrock, CPA began working with Wells, Coleman & Company in October 2003. He has over 7 years of experience in financial reporting, as well as business and individual income tax return preparation. Mr. Orrock earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Bridgewater College. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants.
Lance D. Smith joined Wells, Coleman & Company as Network Administrator in April 2006, bringing with him more than seven years of IT experience. In addition to serving the IT needs of Wells, Coleman & Company, Mr. Smith provides technical consultation services to the firm’s clientele. Prior to joining Wells, Coleman & Company, Mr. Smith held the position of LAN Administrator at a prominent Fortune 100 transportation company. Mr. Smith earned his Bachelor degree from the College of William and Mary and holds CompTIA Network+ and A+ professional certifications.
Sharon L. Smith joined Wells, Coleman & Company as Firm Administrator in July 2008. She is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the firm and for directing the implementation of firm policies. She has over 25 years of experience in operations, customer relations and human resources. Ms. Smith has a Bachelor of Science in English and a Master of Business Administration from Virginia Commonwealth University.
Rebecca J. Tres, CPA began working with Wells, Coleman & Company in January 2006. She brings 8 years of experience in public accounting with a primary focus in auditing and compliance work. Ms. Tres received her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Longwood University. She is an active member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants.
Kristin L. White, CPA has been with Wells, Coleman & Company since June 2003. She has experience in many areas of accounting and taxation, including financial statement reporting and analysis, audit services and income tax planning and preparation. Areas in which she has experience include not-for-profit organizations, employee benefit plans and homeowners associations. Ms. White received her Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Radford University and her Master of Accounting from the College of William and Mary.
